POLICE are tracking the national car theft and hijacking ring targeting Volkswagen employees after eight hijacked cars were recovered across the country and 13 arrests made in less than a month.
All arrests and recovery were by specialist investigators from the Bay’s Anti-Vehicle Hijacking Task Team in less than a month.
The arrests come after a breakthrough last month when two alleged key role-players were arrested at their Gauteng hideouts in East Rand
New trends have been revealed as police recovered cars as far as Cape Town, Johannesburg, East London and Mthatha.
