Fear sends foreign nationals seeking refuge at police stations from marauding looters.
Foreign nationals have sought refuge in police vans and at police stations while others have fled to safer locations outside Soweto to escape the ongoing revenge attacks and looting in the Johannesburg township.
The looters included children and women of all ages.
Shockingly, a picture shows Johannesburg metro police officers nonchalantly walking away from the looting of a shop in White City, Soweto.
Minutes before the photograph was taken, the unidentified cops arrived on the scene, walked towards the store and then turned away as the mob began looting.
The attacks on businesses owned by foreign nationals began on Tuesday in Snake Park after Siphiwe Mahori, 14, was shot dead, allegedly by a Somali businessman on Monday night.
