Will Bicks be our next mayor?

FORMER Nelson Mandela Bay deputy mayor Bicks Ndoni’s name is being bandied about as a possible replacement for incumbent mayor Ben Fihla. Another option being mentioned is ANC MP Mlungisi “Lulu” Johnson.

Another option being mentioned is ANC MP Mlungisi “Lulu” Johnson.

Ndoni, who has never aligned himself with any faction in the ANC and is seen as impartial, said yesterday he had not been approached by anyone about taking over from Fihla, 83, but he would definitely consider becoming the new mayor if asked.

Although President Jacob Zuma did not say there would be a mayoral committee reshuffle when he announced the disbanding of the ANC regional leadership last month, several ANC members present at that meeting said he had hinted at more drastic changes to come at City Hall.

ANC members have also said for several weeks that Fihla has admitted to being tired.

With much that needs to be done in our country, and while parliament is still in motion…putting Mr.Ndoni as replacement for Mayor Ben Fihla would be A choice I’d be exceedingly pleased as a concerned South african, for I have seen Mr.Ndoni’s act on play in ensuring that Port Elizabeth is being recognise in our country.I read through political actions and electing Mr.Ndoni as our New Mayor, the hopes, vision and growth will continue to grow in the hands of him.His the Appropriate next candidate for the title

Mr Ndoni performed well when he was mayor of Uitenhage and he is willing to work with all races to ensure development takes place. I think he will be an excellent choice.
