Three more rhinos poached at Pumba Game Reserve
By Dorette De Swart - 16 April 2014
RHINO poachers have hit the Pumba Private Game Reserve for a second time in less than a month – with the carcasses of three more rhinos discovered early yesterday.
This brings to six the number of rhinos killed at the reserve, near Grahamstown, since last month.
In the latest tragedy, a breeding bull and cow as well as a two-year-old bull calf were killed. The two adult rhinos were dehorned.
The three carcasses were found near the site of the previous rhino killings, about 400m from the fence bordering the Alicedale road. - Gareth Wilson
