AGANG SA leader Mamphela Ramphele yesterday said her failed partnership with the DA was no scandal and had done nothing to blemish her credibility as a leader.

While many commentators believed her brief encounter with the DA amounted to political suicide, Ramphele said scores of ordinary people had warmly welcomed her and shown confidence in her leadership.

In an interview before hitting the campaign trail in Nelson Mandela Bay yesterday, Ramphele said when they established Agang they said from the outset they would pursue partnerships with other parties.

“This is our mission, to encourage and champion partnerships. The fact that it didn’t work is not a reflection of the idea being bad.

Agang has no credibility! This lady decided to throw in her lot with the D.A. without consulting her party and then changed her mind just 24 hours later! How could anyone trust a politician that does a U turn 24 hours later? Agang wil not even have enough votes for one member of parliament!
