MTN cup starts
GLENVILLE Celtic and Fairview Rovers will carry the Northern Areas FA hopes in the R200000 Safa-NNM MTN inter-club tournament which kicked off at the Wolfson Stadium last night.
Thirty-two teams from the local football associations and the Safa-NMB SAB League have been drawn into eight groups and will play a round robin until Sunday.
The top two teams will play in the knock-out stage starting next Tuesday.
The winners will receive R10000, a trophy, gold medals, a set of jerseys, 25 tracksuits and 10 match balls.
The runners-up will receive R5000, medals, set of soccer jerseys and five match balls.
THE Hotspurs junior presentation will be held at Wells Estate on Saturday.
All the players must assemble at Mooredyke from 7am as buses will leave from there.
