As residents in the Western Cape prepare for what officials have called “the worst storm in living history‚” Mzansi has rallied to lift the national spirit.
Western Cape schools have closed and residents have been urged to stay indoors as gale force winds batter the area.
The air force is on standby and disaster management officials have been deployed to key areas.
It’s been reported that some residents in informal settlements have lost their homes as gales wreak havoc.
Social media is a mix of attempts to lift the spirit and information about the storm.
