To observe World Oceans Day (June 8) a number of beach clean-ups are being organised in and around the metro on Saturday.
Organisers are calling on members of the public to get involved.
The clean-ups include one at Kings Beach which is being organised by the Wildlife Society.
The starting time is 9.30am and the clean-up will last for an hour.
Meet at the end of the concrete path between the grass open space and the Kings Beach Surf Lifesaving clubhouse. Contact: Tim DouglasJones on 082-775-8816.
The Zwartkops Conservancy clean-up will run from 9am-10.30am. Meet at Bluewater Bay swimming beach. Contact: Jenny Rump on 082-853-0700.
Bayworld Friends will focus on Bushy Park Beach. Meet at 9am at the Bushy Park Farm gate on the New Seaview Road at 9am. Contact: Anelle Bailey on 082-490-9417.
