Constable Hattingh’s killer sentenced to 18 years

Charles Nqaba, 26, convicted of murdering Constable Devin Hattingh in 2014, was sentenced to an effective 18 years in prison in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Wednesday.

The deceased’s father John Hattingh said he was disappointed with the sentence.

“He can still be released in a few years, but my son will never come back,” Hattingh said after proceedings.
