A suspected gangster linked to at least four house robberies in Port Elizabeth’s northern areas was arrested yesterday.
The man, 25, had been on the run from police for more than a month.
Police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said he had been sought in connection with robberies in Gelvandale and Bethelsdorp, and more cases could be linked to him.
Members of the gang intervention unit found him hiding in his girlfriend’s house in Reginald Street, Helenvale.
The man is due to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court today.
