A husband and wife managed to fight off two burglars – and stab one of them in the upper body – during an early morning attack inside their Redhouse home yesterday.
Vian Wilken, 28, and his wife Nicolette, 46, were attacked by panga-wielding men who smashed a sliding glass door of their doublestorey home at about 1.30am.
Vian was admitted to Greenacres Hospital after being stabbed in the arm and needing to undergo surgery.
Nicolette was at their Towpath Street home, which borders the bush, yesterday but declined to comment.
