ANC is ‘fractured to the core’ says Chief Whip

The ANC could find itself in trouble after the 2019 national elections‚ according to the party’s parliamentary Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu.

The former party spokesman was speaking on Friday morning at the East London City Hall at the funeral of ANC stalwart Malusi Maxegwana.

Mthembu addressing hundreds of mourners said‚ “We are not sure if we will continue to be free after 2019.”

In a candid address‚ Mthembu has acknowledged the party’s deep divisions”.

“We are fractured to the core. We are divided in the [ANC’s] NEC‚ PEC‚ RECs. We are busy scoring spectacular own goals‚” he said.

Mthembu said corruption was running rampant in the party. “We have become corrupt to the core. All we are concerned about is to accumulate wealth as if there is no tomorrow.”

The funeral was attended by ANC bigwigs such as Mcebisi Jonas‚ who is seen as opposing to President Jacob Zuma’s bid to have former AU chairwoman Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma succeed him.

Bold words by Cde Mthembu….straight to the point and truthful…..this is what we need as the first step to addressing the elephant in the room. Personally I still say his bold and damning suggestion that the top 6 should resign and start over. Revolution requires a sacrifice, bold moves and calling a bluff sometimes. The buffoonery of self serving so called Cdes that are in leadership for personal wealth is killing the country and they are sending a disturbing message to the future (kids and youth) of this country. Its high time that we take back our freedom from the jackals sitting on top sits of our existence..yes I said it…we should take it because its ours. i also urge the cowardice of those who are sitting idly behind their ‘masters’ sits because they are scared of the skeletons in the closet. i also applaud the heroism and loyalty of Cdes including, but not limited to, Cdes Mthembu, Jonas, Hanekom who stirred at the face of danger and laughed while standing their ground.
