Firearms stolen at Peddie Police Station

Several police firearms, including R5 assault rifles, were stolen out of the Peddie Police Station on Tuesday afternoon.

It is believed that the thieves gained entry to the police evidence room, where the police firearms were kept, and stole several weapons.

Several top police officials were on the scene until late afternoon.

Provincial police spokeswoman brigadier Marinda Mills said that she could confirmed that there was a breach of security involving firearms at Peddie police station on Tuesday.

“Investigators are still on the scene and once all facts have been confirmed a statement will be released,” she said.

Peddie Police Station should rather close down, it’s full of incompetent staff and there’s a lot of corruption taking place.

I’m also from Peddie by there way.

    Thanks, SAPS.
Now we wait for the inevitable spike in armed attacks and murders in the area.
