Suspected gang member shot dead

A Bethelsdorp man was shot dead in the latest gang violence in the northern areas.

Ricardo Abrahams, 43, who is believed to be affiliated to the Good Fellas Gang, was shot in the face at about 1pm while sitting in the backyard of his house in Celosia Crescent.

“He and two others were sitting in the yard smoking, when an unknown man fired over the wall,” police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said.

“Two shots were fired and Abrahams was hit in the face.” His friends were unhurt. Naidu said Abrahams died on the scene.
