Suspect attempts to escape at PE Magistrate's Court

A man facing a charge of robbery attempted to escape custody at the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.
He was re-arrested a short distance away in Govan Mbeki Avenue.
The man was due to appear in the bail court when he hopped over the dock and ran through the front doors at the court.
He will now face an additional charge of attempting to escape lawful custody.
