I won’t give in to thugs, says cyclist robbed by knifemen

In similar attacks along Victoria Drive:

• On March 24, recreational cyclist Leon Killian and 2013 Ironman champion Frederik van Lierde, from Belgium, were attacked in separate incidents;
• In April, veteran Czech Ironman competitor Miroslav Vrastil, 66, was injured when ambushed;
• The same month, Brian Spilkin, 52, was attacked, while cycling with mayor Athol Trollip; and
• In May, in Walmer Downs along the Baakens Valley, orthodontist Dirk Hoskin, 65, was attacked by a man with a screwdriver.
