Five dead, four injured in accident near Grahamstown

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident on the R67 between Grahamstown and Port Alfred this afternoon (13/08/17).
Five people were killed and four others, including an infant, were injured in the accident that happened at about midday, approximately 13kms from Grahamstown towards Port Alfred.
According to police, the details regarding the accident are still unclear but witnesses on the scene allege that one vehicle overturned and the second vehicle crashed head-on with the first vehicle.
Emergency services are still on the scene and drivers using the R67 have been asked to exercise caution and patience while EMS are clearing the scene.
