Two die in house fire

Two people died after their home caught fire in the Moeggesukkel informal settlement early on Saturday morning(12/08/17).

According to police information, the couple allegedly made a fire inside a steel bucket inside the informal house before they went to bed.

Neighbours tried to douse the fire but the intensity of the flames engulfed two homes.

The 55-year-old owner of the house and his 45-year-old wife is believed to have died in the blaze.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
