Scheduled shutdown for Nooitgedagt water treatment works

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has scheduled a shutdown for Nooitgedagt water treatment works on Wednesday (12 July 2017) for emergency repair work on the raw water pipeline.
NMBM expects supply to be restored by Thursday morning, however they have said they will aim to have it restored as soon as possible.
Consumers are urged to use water sparingly during this time to avoid storage reservoirs running dry.
Areas that will be affected first if storage drops: •Reservoir Hills •Khayamnandi •Higher parts of Motherwell •Uitenhage •Despatch •Ibhayi •Chatty
