N2 closed temporarily in PE due to veld fires

The N2 has been closed temporarily in Port Elizabeth with Woodridge College and Preparatory School evacuated.
This is according to Nelson Mandela Bay municipal spokesman Mthubanzi Mniki.He said a fire spread last night due to an increase in wind speed.
"Woodridge College evactuations have been done due to smoke.
"People who are not part of the emergency services working on fires are warned not to come to the areas where fire fighting work is happening as they obstract, disturb and disseminate wrong information that causes unnecessary panic", Mniki said.
