Hospital looking for child’s mother

Social workers at Dora Nginza Hospital are looking for the mother of a four-year-old child who was abandoned at the hospital.

Pamela Rubushe said the girl, Lee-Ann Briekwa, suffers from cerebral palsy, a debilitating form of brain damage that often develops around birth.

“The mother, Rozenne Briekwa, was last seen at the hospital on November 8 when she asked if she could leave for a short while,” Rubushe said. She said the mom never returned. “We heard from people in Pearston where she stayed that she had moved to Somerset East.”

Anybody who can help Rubushe trace Lee-Ann’s mother can get in touch with her on (041) 406-4297/5.
