Relief for Dean Biddulph as threat suspect arrested

The arrest of a Forest Hill man has put mayoral committee member Dean Biddulph’s mind at ease after weeks of telephonic threats against him and his family.

Humewood police made the breakthrough yesterday morning after their investigation led them to a piece of municipal land in Forest Hill, where the 57-year-old suspect was arrested.

Biddulph said he and his family were relieved that the man had been caught only days after they reported the case to the police.

“Every time we spoke to the man we asked what we could do to help him and make him stop, and we warned him we would take action against him,” Biddulph said.

“So we are glad that he has been detained, and I am relieved that my family is now safe.”
