An alleged gangster has been sentenced to life behind bars by the Port Elizabeth High Court.
Police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said Ludonian Allies, allegedly a member of the Dustlifes gang, was sentenced to life for the murder of Nathan Jacobs, 25, in November 2014.
In addition, he received 10 years for attempted murder, five for the unlawful possession of a firearm and two for being in possession of ammunition.
The sentences are to run concurrently.
Jacobs responded to a knock at the garage door of a Jameson Road house in Schauderville when Allies and another accused, Xandre Jansen, started shooting at him.
Jansen was shot dead in May 2016.
The sentence comes less than a month after another alleged Dustlifes member Preston Baadtjies who was sentenced to life for a double murder.
Baadtjies had earlier been found guilty of fatally shooting Ivan MacDonald and Randy Nel in a minibus taxi that stopped in Bethelsdorp July 2013.
