Young stranger saves mom's life

A South African woman’s Facebook post detailing how her life was saved by a young stranger is going viral.

This, after she had a severe allergic reaction in Cedar Square Mall in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Nicole Gillian Morgan outlines how she and her six-year-old son went to the mall to run some errands when she was stung by a bee.

She had been stung before, but had never had a severe reaction to the venom before.

This time, however, she said she went into anaphylactic shock. While those around her panicked, one young man, later identified at 20-year-old student Obakeng Seutane, jumped into action.

Seutane dispersed the crowds that had gathered around Morgan, opened her airway to assist with breathing and calmed down her son. When Morgan fell unconscious, Seutane loaded her into the backseat of his car. “He put my son into the front seat, introduced himself and explained to Mikey that he was going to have to drive very fast to get his mom to the hospital,” she wrote.

Upon arrival at the hospital Morgan was rushed into the emergency room for urgent care. Despite her situation being touch-and-go, she was discharged from the ICU and has made a full recovery.

Morgan and her family have since met Seutane to thank him for his quick thinking that saved her life.
