Illegal perlemoen seized

ILLEGAL perlemoen has been seized along Marine Drive after the Department of Agricultural Forestry and Fisheries and the tactical task force received a tip-off from the public about poaching in the area.
Officials stopped and searched the suspect’s vehicle but no perlemoen was found.
Officials did, however, recover diving equipment.
Both the suspects and their vehicle were released and left the area.
After further investigation officials found bags of perlemoen containing 458 units hidden in the bushes.
The perlemoen has been taken to the Humewood police station. The suspects and their vehicle cannot be linked to the discovery.
