Officials confirm prescription drugs found at Prince’s home

Authorities investigating the death of singer Prince have found prescription drugs at his home and are investigating a possible link to his death‚ reports CNN. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/04/27/entertainment/prince-opioid-medication/ It’s being reported that Opioid was found on him and at his home in Minnesota.

It’s understood that the drug is used to treat pain relief and authorities have now reached out to the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration to help with investigations.

At the time of his death well-known entertainment site TMZ http://www.tmz.com reported that Prince had been treated for an alleged drug overdose 6 days before his death. At the time‚ his plane had to make an emergency stop in an effort to treat him‚ but his pr team said that he was suffering from the ‘flu.’

It’s now believed that it was in fact an overdose of prescription drugs that led to the emergency landing and subsequent hospital treatment.

Prince was confirmed dead on 21 April at the age of 57.
