Panayiotou and co-accused back in court

The family of Jayde Panayiotou arrived at the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court today ahead of the appearance of Christopher Panayiotou and his co-accused.

Panayiotou, Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nenemba made a brief court appearance today. The matter was postponed until 18 April 2016.

Panayiotou, 28, is accused of orchestrating his 29-year-old wife Jayde's murder.  It is alleged he paid Luthando Siyoli, 31, a bouncer at his nightclub in Algoa Park, to hire a hit man, identified as Vumazonke, 30, to murder his wife. Siyoli has since turned state witness.

Nenembe, 28, was also linked to the case late in 2015.

Jayde was abducted outside her Kabega Park townhouse complex on April 21, 2015. Her body was found on a farm in Rocklands near Uitenhage the next day.
