DA leader targets Joburg‚ Tshwane and Nelson Mandela Bay in voter drive

Mmusi Maimane touted his party’s governance of “nine out of the 10 best-run municipalities” to vote to the Democratic Alliance in at more local authorities

The opposition leader said as this would be the “most competitive Local Government Elections yet” a day before the weekend’s voter registration.

I call on all South Africans to mobilise their communities to register to put South Africa first and to register for change‚” said Maimane.

“Change which ensures that the streets are not only clean but also safe; and change which ensures that every home has lights‚ water and toilets.

“In this election‚ the DA is working hard to bring change to Johannesburg‚ Tshwane and Nelson Mandela Bay‚ and growing our support in all municipalities across the country.”

He said the DA has “shown itself to be…committed to the delivery of quality services and clean government for all”.

“It is no mistake that nine out of the 10 best-run municipalities are governed by the DA‚ this is according to the Government Performance Index‚ compiled by research and advocacy group Good Governance Africa‚” Maimane said.

“The time has come for change‚ and it starts with registering for change this weekend.”
