A group of unemployed social work graduates are protesting on Ntshekisa road in New Brighton this morning.

This after they were allegedly told by the MEC of Social Development that there are no jobs for them.

The protesters told The Herald that they "do not want to be interns because after 12 months they are still left unemployed."

They have threatened that if the department does not meet with their demands all 904 unemployed graduates in the Bay will not vote for the ruling party.

Gates are closed at the Social Development offices in Struandale as the protesters demand the officials to come and sign their memorandum. This is a developing story.
