‘Generations’ star in critical condition

AS actor and film producer Rapulana Seiphemo undergoes treatment in Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.

The 48-year-old actor, who plays Tau Mogale in Generations: The Legacy, was involved in an accident on Sunday night that left two people, including Seiphemo, critically injured and two others dead. Two others escaped with moderate injuries.

Police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed that a case of culpable homicide was being investigated.

The cause of the accident has yet to be determined.

According to paramedics from ER24, Seiphemo was airlifted to Milpark Hospital’s trauma unit.

The incident involved two vehicles that collided on the N14 near the R55, towards Krugersdorp, north of Johannesburg.

Mduduzi Skhakhane, Seiphemo’s brother-in-law, said the actor was in a stable condition.

“He’s in the hands of the doctors and we, as a family, are now waiting on them,” he said.

“It’s a difficult time for us and we are appealing to the media to give us space to deal with the matter,” Skhakhane said.

The award-winning actor is most famously known as the onscreen husband of Karabo Moroka in Generations.
