Domestic worker attacked during Summerstrand robbery

A Port Elizabeth domestic worker was pepper sprayed and beaten during a brazen daylight robbery in Summerstrand this afternoon.
The three robbers broke open the front perimeter gate and gained access to the yard and then the house.
According to police, the 58-year-old domestic worker, who was alone at the time, was over powered by three men who pepper sprayed her while beating her with a crow bar.
This comes in the wake of similar attacks across the Bay in recent months.
Police detectives are on the scene.
