At least four people have been killed and nine others injured on roads in the Eastern Cape this afternoon.
Emergency medical services are currently en route to a suspected fatal accident on the N10 near Middletown.
Preliminary information is that are two people are dead, two unresponsive and five others injured.
In another accident at 2pm, two people were killed and four seriously injured in a head on collision between a truck and bakkie about 30km from Graaff-Reinet towards Aberdeen.
The Port Elizabeth medical helicopter is transferring one of the seriously injured patients to hospital by air.
