Grahamstown looters ransacking foreign owned shops

Grahamstown police are currently attempting to stop looters from ransacking foreign owned shops on the outskirts of the town.

According to police, 12 foreign owned shops have already been ransacked while the owners have been forced to flee in fear of being killed.

The rampage stems from rumours of an allegedly serial killer who has killed several women in the Joza area of Grahamstown.

Police have dismissed rumours of such a serial killer.

According to an official, residents believe that the killer is a foreign national which has since sparked the looting. - Gareth Wilson
