RACING SERIES WINNERS

Proud winners at the Ocean Racing Series events held at Hobie Beach yesterday morning are, from left, Dylan Smith (3km swim), Kirsten Marriott (1km swim), Ian Venter (1km swim) and Daniel Jones (2km swim).
Yesterday’s events were part of the first of the 10 aQuellé Ocean Racing Series race days in the current series, to be held from Port Elizabeth’s Hobie Beach. Six events will be held on each race day.
The series caters for all interests with a 5km beach run, 5km beach walk and a 1km beach run/walk for children under 12.
This year, the swimmers will be able to choose from three distances in the ocean events – 1km, 2km and 3km. -The Herald
