Telkom technician assaulted, robbed after being forced by car to stop near Thornhill
A TELKOM technician was ambushed by two men hiding in the bushes next to the N2 after a vehicle forced him to pull over while driving outside Thornhill near Port Elizabeth.
Police described the incident – at about 6pm on Wednesday – as a well-planned but isolated attack.
They warned motorists to be vigilant when entering the city.
Police spokesman Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei said the driver spotted a white Toyota Corolla when leaving Jeffreys Bay but thought nothing of it. -Gareth Wilson
