Panayiotou bail bid continues tomorrow

Murder accused Christopher Panayiotou will spend at least one more night behind bars as Magistrate Abigail Beeton has asked for more time to deliberate her decision on bail.

Beeton is expected to give her ruling tomorrow (05/06/15), with reasons for her decision to be delivered to counsel next week.

Much-loved Nelson Mandela Bay teacher Jayde Panayiotou, 29, was abducted from outside her Port Elizabeth home on 21 April this year. Her body was found in Rocklands, outside Uitenhage, at about 10am the next day. She had been shot once in the head and twice in the chest.

Christopher, 28, was arrested in connection with the murder the following week.
