Dogs shot during PE drug raid

A joint police operation in Port Elizabeth this morning (08/04/15) saw Hawks police officials allegedly shoot and kill three Rottweilers during a raid on a drug post in the city’s gang ridden Northern Areas.

Police have said that a 23-year-old suspect was arrested. The suspect allegedly let four dogs loose to attack the officers while he attempted to flee.

The operation also saw 14 000 Mandrax tablets recovered with an estimated street value of R560 000.

@ Nikki “let four dogs loose to attack the officers while he attempted to flee.”

Should the cops ask the dosgs not to attack them, I mean you clearly state they dont know.

Justify is easy = dogs where used as a weapon by assailant = disarmed by force

Did these dogs carry the drugs? Did these digs know what was going on? Did they understand? NO! This is both sick and heart-breaking at the same time! We trust people to protect us and protect the law yet they fear anything more than 2 legs!!! The animals that need to be worried about and scared of are called HUMANS! The man who illegally held and delt with drugs was caught- great job! The INNOCENT dogs who knew nothing were killed- please justify! This is heart wrecking. The justice received ( catching the dealer or whoever0 does not even feel like a achievement. Those beautiful dogs will never have a chance again! as for the ‘suspect’ his life stays intact! Officials should rather receive training on how to deal with these situations and if they already have…find a new source of training!
