ASSAULT accused Brent Cunningham cut a lonely figure as he appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court yesterday, not a family member or friend in sight.
Expecting to hear about the plea agreement he entered into with the state, Cunningham, 23, made a brief appearance to learn that the agreement was yet to be finalised.
Last month the former fitness trainer indicated that he wanted to enter a plea agreement with the state in connection with the January assault on his father Malcolm Cunningham, 56.
Brent is accused of beating his father at the Lorraine townhouse they shared, reportedly over the use of a parking space.
