THOUSANDS of music-lovers and fun-seekers attended the inaugural Algoa Live music concert at the weekend, jamming and jiving along to some of the country’s hottest artists and bands.

The picnic-style concert featured Mi Casa, Goldfish, Jimmy Nevis, Lloyd Cele, Stuart Reece, Prime Circle and Kurt Darren, who all kept the audience entertained for seven hours from noon on Saturday, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

One of the highlights came right at the end when, during Mi Casa’s performance, about 70 people started doing “The Bart” dance in the middle of the field.

Mi Casa also collaborated with Capetonian singer Nevis.

Sunshine Shibambo, 32, travelled from Johannesburg to attend. “I was very excited when I got the invitation to attend the concert. It was an opportunity I did not want to let slip through my fingers. I could not have made a better choice as the event is incredible,” Shibambo said on the day.
