FASHION design student Armand Dicker will be flying the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) flag high this week when he rubs shoulders with the who’s who of the South African fashion industry at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
He is one of 12 students selected nationally to showcase their designs at the prestigious Johannesburg show.
The event runs from tomorrow until Saturday.
Dicker, 24, who lives in Cotswold Extension, was thrilled at being included in the event.
“I am mostly pressured because I am determined to do well. I have to be confident,” the former Framesby High School pupil said.
Knowing that he wanted to venture into the fashion industry as early as the age of 10, Dicker said he watched Fashion TV for tips and the latest trends.
