Police arrest brazen pair

Daylight robbers target Bay pedestrians

TWO suspects, who allegedly terrorised Nelson Mandela Bay pedestrians by driving up to them, jumping out of their car and robbing them, were arrested just moments after another daylight robbery.

Humewood police station commander Brigadier Ronald Koll said it was believed the two – Johan Schrader, 21, and a 17-yearold who cannot be named as he is a minor – could be linked to incidents dating back more than six months.

“We have arrested two men and are expecting to make more arrests in the future,” Koll said. “In some incidents we can confirm that firearms, knives and screwdrivers were used. Our detectives are consulting other station detectives to build a strong case."
