Amid mild resistance from staff and some parents, the principal of a Uitenhage special school yesterday returned to his office after a four-month absence.
Sipho Bodlani returned to Mzamomhle Special School yesterday, with teachers – who had kicked him out in September – threatening non-cooperation until they had a report on an investigation into financial mismanagement.
Bodlani, who had been reporting to the district office, went back to his office “not by choice, but because the community said so”.
“I am back at school. So much has happened and I have been smeared with all sorts of accusations. The problem is that nobody wants authority. They just want to be left to their own devices,” he said.
