The seriously injured teenager who could hold the key to last month’s triple family murder in Stellenbosch is talking.
After at least two weeks under intensive care at two different hospitals in the Cape, Marli van Breda has begun to answer simple questions, according to weekend reports.
But it was not clear whether she had been able to give police a statement.
Martin van Breda, his wife Theresa and their son Rudi died in the attack at their upmarket De Zalze Golf Estate home.
Marli sustained extensive head and neck injuries, leaving her unconscious and incapable of speaking until recently.
