Potter’s Place in Jeffreys Bay has closed its doors to the public for the last time after founder and owner Helena Terblanche announced this week that the business would be closed indefinitely and sold to a new owner.

Over a short period of time the venue transformed from a pottery studio and a venue for art lessons to becoming the seaside town’s top live music venue, hosting several of the countries top bands and artists over its 12 years in existence.

The first artist to perform at Potter’s was Gert Vlok Nel, followed by a string of national artists such as Dozi, Amor Vittone, Amanda Strydom, Steve Hofmeyr and a host of others.
