Barcroft TV posted this footage on YouTube, of a young Great White shark being rescued from a fisherman’s hook in Plettenberg Bay this week.
According to the video, the footage was shot by Lars Liedberg, 38, who “had just finished having breakfast in a restaurant, in Plettenberg Bay South Africa, when he saw a struggle on the beach below”.
The fishermen battled to remove the hook from the shark which they had accidently caught. After many attempts, they eventually managed to relieve the young shark.
With great difficulty the Great White slowly swam to deeper waters and found its escape.
