PE mother in stable condition after family shooting

THE w yesterday is in a stable condition in hospital, it was confirmed this morning.

Magda Jantjies, 46, was shot at Cape Recife School in Summerstrand by Bramwell Jantjies, 59, who then  turned the gun on himself. He died on the scene.

Port Elizabeth police spokesman Captain Johan Rheeder said an argument preceded the shooting.

“The man then shot the woman three times in the upper body, and then shot himself.

“The woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition,” Rheeder said.
