Council to appoint acting city manager today

The Nelson Mandela Bay council is expected to appoint an acting city manager today while metro bosses are on a search for a permanent replacement for Mpilo Mbambisa.
Other acting managers are also to be appointed to hold the fort while disciplinary hearings against some heads of departments continue.
The closed council meeting is expected to start at 11am.
City manager Mpilo Mbambisa was booted out last month.
