VIDEO: Malema thrown out of Parliament for calling Ramaphosa a murderer

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema was on Wednesday night forcibly ejected from Parliament by sixteen parliamentary bouncers after he refused to retract calling Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa a murderer.

National Assembly chair Grace Boroto ordered Malema to retract the statements that Ramaphosa had been an accessory to murder at the Marikana massacre‚ and that Ramaphosa was a murderer.

Malema refused to do so‚ and reiterated the statements.

Boroto then ordered him to leave the debating chamber‚ which he refused to do.

Following the new rules of Parliament‚ she called serjeant-at-arms Regina Mohlommi to remove Malema‚ but Mohlommi failed.

Boroto then called in Parliament's recently acquired security staff‚ which were recruited from the police.

Sixteen of them went into the chamber and escorted Malema out. - Jan-Jan Joubert/ TimesLIVE
