A good Samaritan who was attempting to stop two armed robbers from fleeing in Commercial Road has been shot and killed about 10 minutes ago.
The man – who has not yet been identified – chased after the gunmen in a vehicle after witnessing the robbery this afternoon (05/06/15).
Police and The Herald are on the scene and have confirmed that they have arrested one person believed to have been involved in the robbery.
