Panayiotou planned several hit attempts, says state

JAYDE Panayiotou’s alleged killer had been watching her for some time before her abduction last month.

He knew what time she came out of the Port Elizabeth townhouse she shared with her husband and when her lift to work would arrive.

He knew he had just enough time to circle the townhouse complex in Kabega Park, before hitting her over the head and knocking her unconscious, and then stuffing her into the boot of the car he had rented for the sole purpose of abducting and killing her.

He drove to a remote area outside Uitenhage where he carried an unconscious Jayde into the veld and shot her three times at close range – twice in the back and once in the head.
